Mandatory Assessments January 11 & 17

Welcome to the 2026 Spring Season! Please read the following important information regarding MANDATORY PLAYER ASSESSMENTS!

  • Tee-Ball & Coach Pitch players are NOT assessed. Please bring the required forms to your first practice. That's all!

  • All FARM, MINORS, MAJORS, & JUNIORS players are required to be assessed each season. Detailed schedules are listed below.
  • Players will be evaluated based on fundamentals such as fielding, hitting, and base running. This allows the league to form properly-balanced teams.
  • Players will bring their own bag/gear, including baseball hat, helmet, cleats, glove, bat, and water bottle. NO gum or food (including sunflower seeds) permitted!
  • Every effort must be made to attend! ln the event that an absence is unavoidable, an email must be sent to [email protected] PRIOR TO the assessment date.

PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • At least one parent must remain on-site at all times. Players are released as soon as they are done assessing - no need to check out at the tables.
  • Safety is our priority! We know kids are always excited to show off their skills, but BATS MUST REMAIN IN YOUR CHILD'S BAG UNTIL A LEAGUE VOLUNTEER ADVISES OTHERWISE.
  • Once a player has finished their assessment, bats must be placed in the player's bag until off premises.
  • Observing parents must remain off the field and outside the dugout.
  • PLEASE do not "coach" your child while they are assessing. This is not only counter-productive, but a possible safety hazard if too many people are talking at once and the players confuse instructions.

CHECK-IN PROCEDURE:

  • REQUIRED FORMS: Please PRINT and COMPLETE the FOUR (4) forms required by Little League at home before your child's assessment time. These must be filled out every season and signed in ink! All of these forms can be found on the Forms section of our website
  • Upon arrival, players must be checked-in at the tables, Forms will be collected and players will receive a numbered sticker to wear during the assessment.
  • We cannot accept emailed forms! There will be extras available at check-in.
  • If your player is interested in "playing up" a division, please email [email protected]. They will need to attend the assessment for both the higher division and their assigned division.

**ASSESSMENT will be held on Sunday 1/11 and Saturday 1/17 at De Portola Middle School Fields at 11010 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego, CA 92124**
