TLL Family-
I want to personally thank you for joining Tierrasanta Little League for the Spring 2021 season and hope that your family has enjoyed the time outdoors watching our young athletes. During my walk abouts at the fields, I was happy to see so many smiling faces, not just on the athletes, but also the parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, and neighbors of this awesome community. We could not have done it without our volunteer Managers, Coaches, team Parents, Score Keepers, Field Preppers, and all the other folks who stepped up to create a memorable experience for our players amid uncertain circumstances. Thank you!!!
The board has also done a phenomenal job putting together this season. At the beginning, the Spring 2021 season looked very bleak, but your board rose to challenge and got the task completed. Not only were we able to have a spring season, but we also accomplished some very large projects as well:
- Complete field renovation of the Farm infield.
- Complete field renovation of the Minor infield.
- Reintroduction of a long dormant field.
- Completion of our batting cage.
All of these are extremely large and expensive undertakings, yet they were done with minimal practice/ game disruption. We still have a way to go to start hosting tournaments here in Tierrasanta, but hopefully by Spring 2022 we can start hosting our own tournaments here!!
The TLL board has worked hard to provide an enriching environment for our community and strive to always do better. This July, we are having our annual board elections, where you all have an opportunity to assist in the future of TLL. Now is your time to help set the future for our athletes. Positions are held and re-elected annually, and we are always looking for new membership to assist or step into various roles as current families exit or age out of the league. In addition to at-large members willing to assist as needed, the board positions essential to our successful operation are:
Officers – President, VP (upper/ lower divisions), Secretary, Treasurer, Safety Officer, Coach Coordinator, Player Agent (several), Information Officer.
Board of Directors- Fields & Equipment, Snack Bar, Scheduler, Umpire in Charge, Sponsorship/ Fundraising, Volunteer Outreach, Newsletter/ Social Media, and Summer Camp.
As you can see, we have a large group that we need support with. If you would like to know more about a specific role, please feel free to reach out to any current board member. We need and appreciate your continued support!!!
