Field improvements

We are excited to share the following updates with you about a couple of projects that our Board of Directors is working on.

As you know, we are preparing to open registration soon on the upcoming Spring Season. We are working hard to continue to provide excellent training and guidance to T-Town baseball players of all ages!

We are also working with the City, Rec. Center, and SDUSD to revamp several of our baseball fields.

In the coming weeks, we will begin removal of the infields on the Farm & Minor fields at DePortola. This is being done to ensure a better playing/practice surface for the kids which could reduce risk of injury (rolled ankles, bad hops resulting in fat lips/bumps/bruises, etc.) We hope to have this accomplished before the season begins.

Additionally, we have plans to revamp a dormant field back into the fold. As you may have seen, we had a batting cage installed at the front field at DePortola. Now are are working on getting that field back into full use for our players. This will allow us to schedule more practices and games as well as create opportunities for TLL to host local tournaments.

These projects are being funded entirely by TLL for the safety and benefit of our youth athletes.

To ensure project completion and everyone’s safety, please remain off of the fields while the work is being done. Additionally, please follow standing city ordinances by keeping your dogs on leashes.
